Job Title: AZAHAR Cambodia Filed Office Manager
 
AZAHAR Cambodia utilizes creative methods that challenge the confines of conventional peacebuilding mechanisms in conflict and post-conflict contexts. Our programs are structured in order to develop a culture of peace in Cambodia. Our contribution is deeply rooted in education, using methodologies such as Yoga, Meditation and Arts that promote peace building at individual and community levels. We contribute to empowering the victims of violence to heal so that they can facilitate the healing of communities and societies at large. AZAHAR Cambodia works jointly with AZAHAR Foundation by enabling international community exchanges and inter- actions while exposing local communities and prospect community leaders to tools and practices that empower them.
 
Job Purpose: AZAHAR Cambodia Field Office Manager holds a leadership position within the AZAHAR Foundation Network. The post holder will be primarily accountable for the direction, management and operations of the Cambodia field office (program operations and support services functions) to ensure effective and efficient systems and procedures for harmonization, integration and alignment of program delivery across the project portfolio. The Field Office Manager is responsible for leading the staff and contractors while ensuring strong teamwork, collaboration, coordination and holding high accountability to deliver effective and efficient program implementation in compliance with local policies and organizational policies and requirements.
 
The Field Office Manager is accountable and ensures the internalization and adherence to AZAHAR Foundation’s Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Strategic Objectives. He/she Coordinates the facilitation of concepts and proposals development for resource mobilization. This position also liaisons and networks with all local stakeholders to enhance the relationship and program ownership and implementation.
 
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Working Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week with flexible schedule Monday through Saturday
Pay Range: $800 - $1,000 commensurate on experience
Line person / Reports to: AZAHAR Foundation CEO
Supervises: 1 Manager Position, 2 Officer Positions, 2 Supporting Staff and 12-15 Contractors. Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract from August 1st, 2022 until December 31st, 2022 subject to renewal.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in business administration may be advantageous.

 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in director or managerial positions.
  • Experience in Cambodian non-profit sector preferable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations  and  Organizational Strategy
  • Develops standardized processes and systems to ensure effective running of the AZAHAR Cambodia Office and Yoga Phnom Penh Studio.
  • Ensures organizational and HR compliance with local laws and regulations for registered nonprofit organizations.
  • Ensures that all the filing systems are up to date, transfers the important records and files, and ensures that they are protected and secured, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintains record of service provision agreements’ fulfillment through monthly invoices.
  • Legally represents AZAHAR Cambodia by singing all Memoranda of Understanding, agreements, and instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization, as advised by the Board of Directors and AZAHAR Foundation CEO.
  • Actively participates in organizational-wide strategic planning.

 
  • Works closely with AZAHAR Foundation CEO and AZAHAR Cambodia staff to design and
implement local programs that advance the organization’s mission.
  • Develops annual operational plans to effectively implement programs and core offerings.
  • Develops monthly reports and debriefs CEO through monthly reporting meetings.
  • Develops grant reporting according to the needs, formats and frequency of contractual agreements with donors and partners.
  • Organizes bi-annual Board of Directors’ meetings and provides strategic reporting for key
decision making.
  • Develops and implements a business plan for the Yoga Phnom Penh Studio and Community Wellness program to drive revenue and overall sustainability.
  • Leads the development of a marketing plan for the Yoga Phnom Penh Studio and Community Wellness program.
  • Coordinates Yoga Phnom Penh Studio schedule.
 
Leadership and Management
  • Ensures that systems and procedures are in place and properly applied for effective management of AZAHAR Cambodia staff and Yoga Phnom Penh teachers.
  • Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, or terminations.
  • Becomes the guarantor of the value and behaviors consistent with the vision, mission and values of the organization.
  • Leads the establishment of an organizational baseline and a program of continuous improvement in coordination with the Training and Development Manager.
 
Communication and Networking
  • Cultivates and maintains strong and supportive relationships within AZAHAR Cambodia external stakeholders and partners in Cambodia and the region for effective collaborations and fundraising.
  • Enhances AZAHAR Cambodia’s reputation by being active and visible in the community and working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations as part of the
organization’s strategic plan.
  • Institutionalizes internal communication channels and feedback loops within the AZAHAR Cambodia team.
  • Ensures timely production of organization’s marketing materials, including updating the website, newsletter, social media pages and producing annual report in coordination with the External Communications and IT Coordinator.
 
Financial Planning and Accountability
  • Develops and manages an annual organizational budget for the field office, programs and core offerings (Yoga Phnom Penh Studio).

 
 
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly quality financial reports in collaboration with the Financial and Administration Officer and debriefs CEO through monthly and quarterly reporting meetings.
  • Ensures quality and timely periodic reports are prepared and disseminated to all relevant bodies, including donors, partners, etc.
  • Develops a fundraising program to generate revenue through grants and individual gifts as per the strategic planning objectives.
  • Ensures that resources are wisely and prudently utilized for the planned purposes in an impacting and sustainable manner.
  • Ensure that all properties of the organization are properly documented and kept updated every year for auditing and inventory taking.
