Kumudaksa Dasa is an Indonesian practitioner and volunteer for the last decade in Yashodapura Ashram, Hare Krishna Center Siem Reap, connected to ISKCON(International Society for Krishna Consciousness) founded by His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, bringing us congregational chanting of Hare Krishna Mantra traditionally called as kirtan. What is kirtan? Kirtan is one of nine processes of bhakti, performed by congregationally chanting certain mantras. The chanting will be done by call and response, focusing on the vibration of the mantra, repeatedly. The process is reconnecting every individual to the reservoir of all pleasure, Lord Krishna. “Anvrttih sabdat: by transcendental vibration, we can achieve perfection of life” Vedanta Sutra. This practise, if performed regularly will bring us transcendental devotional happiness. No preliminary qualification is needed, everyone is welcome! AZAHAR Cambodia (Yoga Phnom Penh) is now a Jivamukti Affiliate Studio
We have some very exciting news to share with our community.As of April 1st, We’ve officially become an affiliate studio of Jivamukti Yoga, a highly respected method and school for the last 38 years. We now have 8 certified Cambodian Jivamukti teachers offering classes at our studio in Phnom Penh. What is Jivamukti Yoga? Jivamukti Yoga is a path to liberation through compassion towards all beings. The Jivamukti Yoga method is a proprietary style of yoga created by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. It is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining vigorous yoga as exercise, vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), Ahimsā (nonviolence, non-harming), Nāda (music), and Dhyana (meditation). Teaches a classic Jivamukti Open Class at an intermediate/advanced Asana level. Each class explores a different Asana focus. Dharma talks provide an in-depth study of specific Yogic and Buddhist scriptures, such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Dhammapada, Yoga Sutra or Bhagavad Gita. Yogeswari’s classes are known for seamless Vinyasa sequences and thought provoking teachings, accompanied by a soundtrack of Sanskrit mantras, world music and hip Indian beats.
