Yogeswari Founder Yogeswari, based at the Jivamukti Yoga School in New York City since the year 2000, is one of the most senior teachers of the Jivamukti Yoga Method. She is Advanced Certified, a Facilitator of Jivamukti Teacher Trainings, and has taken many Jivamukti Certified Teachers through one-on-one apprenticeships towards their 800-hour-certification. Since 2004, she has been teaching around the world. Yogeswari is known for her vigorous, seamless Vinyasa sequencing, and her thought-provoking philosophical teachings. With 20 years of experience in dance and choreography, she brings liveliness and vibrancy to all her work. She holds an MA in choreography and dance from New York University and a BFA McL in dance from Temple University, Philadelphia. Born in Switzerland, she teaches workshops, immersions, and retreats in five languages. She is the founder and president of AZAHAR Foundation.
Liva SIN Deputy Executive Director Liva is Program Director of Azahar Foundation. She starts her volunteer life since she was 13 years old. She has been working in peace building for a decade with non-government organization in Cambodia and her work is starting from the grass roof level to national level and regional. Liva held a Master degree on Education and Planning from Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Sophanith TES Accounting Manager TES Sophanith was born at KampongCham's Memot District. In 2009, He had graduated a Master Degree in Finance Accounting field at National University of Management (NUM). He experienced working for a private company and organizations such as Club Holiday, CWCC, NCDD & ODC since 2005 after his university graduation. On 01 September 2019, He starts working for AZAHAR Cambodia as a Finance and Admin Manager.
Em VUN Program Manager, YOGA Department Em is Head of Yoga Department of AZAHAR Cambodia. She has 5 years experience working in Garment Factory, and 11 years working as a Social Music Band/ Band’s coordinator. Em also a yoga certify by UK’s Alliance/ Yoga Soul Body Fit (Vinyasa Flow & Fly Fit yoga) and a certified Jivamukti yoga from India since February 2019.
Chhayleang KAUY Program Manager, YOGA Department Chhayleang was born in Prey Veng Province with a family of four and she is the oldest child. Living longer with the family like other kids was not common to her so the four members almost separated to the four corners of direction because of poverty and domestic violence then ended up homeless. However, things happen for the reasons so how you act or view those things is more important. From homeless to program manager at Yoga Department is a meaningful life journey. Chhayleang has her degree of Medical biology since 2016 and has completed Yoga Teacher Training Foundation Level 200HRS from Alison Hawkins and Oskar Nery in 2017 and this year, 2020 she just completed 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training in India with Rima Rabbath and Jules Febre that both training was supported by AZAHAR Foundation. "Nothing is an obstacle, just a learning"
Soveth VATH Project Officer Soveth is Communication Manager of AZAHAR Foundation Cambodia. She is finished a Bachelor degree on International Relations from Pannasastra University of Cambodia. After she moved to live in Phnom Penh in 2011 she has joint peace workshop and peace campaign with other NGOs. In 2012 she stated volunteered and worked with peace building program.
Non Sreynoch Project Officer,YOGA Instructor Sreynoch is Admin assistant and also yoga instructor at AZAHAR FOUNDATION she 26 year old. She finished Bachelor degree at Cambodia Mekong University major is law. She comes from Bantean MeanChey Province. She thinks Yoga is not only excises but yoga has benefit more than she think. she want to give healthy to people in Cambodia and make they know benefit about yoga. Specially yoga made them to healthy, have good feel, made them full body slim and thin looks like lovely one more it made our strong body. She learns yoga not only she self but she learns for helps people and helps her Family and her country. She really love yoga because yoga can help her to have a good future and she study by yoga. And she wants to change mind people in her country make they love health and love sport excise. In the future she wants to be a good teacher of yoga.
Raty KHUN IT & Graphic designer Officer Raty is IT & Graphic designer officer of AZAHAR Foundation Cambodia. She is finished a Bachelor degree on Information Technology at Cambodia University Specialty. In 2015 she got a job as a graphic designer in Phnom penh. She works with kids for two years as a teacher assistant. In 2017 she starts to work with AZAHAR Foundation Cambodia. She also a yoga instructor at AZAHAR Foundation Cambodia in Phnom Penh.
MENG Sophanmai Admin assistant Met Yogeswari in 2008, while growing up at an orphanage center in Phnom Penh. A few years later, she started on her yoga journey and completed the 200-hour teacher training offered by AZAHAR in 2019. She now works as a receptionist and as a teacher at the AZAHAR Center in Phnom Penh. Yoga has made her life more meaningful, and she hopes that she can support a better quality of life for her students.
PUTHCHAN Chhorvy Receptionist Chhorvy is a high school student at Chea Sim Chom Reon Rath Hight School. She has been volunteered of teaching skateboarding to kids at Skateistan NGO. She started practice yoga since 2017 and she completed 100hur Yoga Teacher Training at AZAHAR Cambodia. She really happy when she understand about yoga and she get benefit from yoga such as meditation, pranayama, and asana. She wants to see young people practice and get benefit from yoga like her.
KEO Sreynhip Janitor eo Sreynhip work as a housekeeper at AZAHAR Foundation Cambodia. She has started working since 1998 in Phnom Penh. In 2010 she worked as Mother Care at Kien Khlang orphanage center until 2016. In early 2018 she start working at AZAHAR Cambodia.
